Hello from Washington D.C.!

Hey I'm Dan, from Washington D.C. USA!  I'm 31 and I've had VR since it came out, but have not played in maybe 15 years.  I just found the CD stored away while cleaning out some boxes and figured I would see if I could get it working.  Several broken pixels and my first attempt at patching later - I'm in business!  I remember trying to play this game with a joystick; 100% throttle/brake or nothing haha.  I've got an Xbox controller mapped to it now and It's great!  I doubt I will ever be very competitive, but I'm here for a good time and look forward to bringing as many modern touches to the game as possible.

Welcome Dan! You can download a patched version of the game at viper-racing.com. It allows you to select higher screen resolution and use higher quality cars. You really should invest in a used wheel/pedals. It would only cost you maybe $30-$40 but makes a world of difference to the realism. This game is capable of providing a truly realistic driving experience. 😊
