You will need a steering wheel and pedals at minimum. I have only ever used a Logitech Momo Force USB wheel for Viper Racing and all the cars I made was built to work well with this steering wheel. It can still be found second-hand for very little money. But any steering wheel should work, really. That said, the Momo Force USB only has 270 degrees of rotation. Using a wheel with a much higher amount of rotation could potentially alter the handling characteristics of my cars. So if you have any issues driving them, try changing the steering wheel settings so that the steering degree is lowered to 270 degrees. Besides a steering wheel and pedals I recommend using a hand brake, but it is not possible. A pair of good PC speakers with a subwoofer is also warmly recommended. This because the engine sounds I make sound too harsh in headphones. With speakers you can angle the speakers away from you which will solve the problem. The engine sounds had to be made this way in order to create seperate on/off throttle engine sounds. The game wasn't designed to do that and the game engine is hard coded. But I found a way around it but it required the use of a very harsh sounding on-throttle sound.
